For many of us, travel is like oxygen. Something we need to thrive. If you are someone who feels most alive when standing atop an ancient ruin, or gazing across a glacial lake to a vast mountain range, or tasting ceviche prepared from a fish you just caught, or realizing that you share the same favorite song as your Berber mountain guide, you are one of us. The goal of retreat2wellness is to gather like-minded experience seekers, and to feed your desire for inspiration, knowledge, physical challenge, and connection through travel.
Each trip is designed to introduce you to our destination in a unique and personal way. This includes opportunities for one-of-a-kind experiences everywhere we go. In each destination, I select our local guides for their knowledge of the natural environment, culture, cuisine and history of the places we visit. Just as important is their personality, life philosophy, and ability to make our journey fun. I cultivate longterm relationships with guides who love to share not only their knowledge of our destination, but also their favorite local spots.
As we strengthen our appreciation for the area we are visiting, we also strengthen our physical wellbeing with activities like hiking, cycling, Stand Up Paddle boarding, and surfing. Each day includes the option of classes in yoga, Pilates, Bootcamp, Kickboxing, and Barre Training. The food we eat is nutrient dense, locally sourced and organic whenever possible.
Please join me in stepping outside of your normal routine and cultivating more of what is meaningful and fulfilling to you. Together, we will experience the world through travel; we will connect with fellow travelers through cultural and natural discovery; we will connect with the communities we visit; and we will energize mind, body and spirit.
At Retreat2Wellness we celebrate personal growth, active adventure, a vibrant existence, and optimal wellbeing.
I have been involved in the wellness industry for over 15 years in a variety of capacities. I’m a Yoga Alliance, Balancepoint Barre, and AFAA certified instructor and have enjoyed teaching and training in Massachusetts, California and Europe. Most recently, I’ve been leading retreats to some of my favorite destinations on the planet. When not traveling, planning a trip, or thinking about traveling, I teach yoga, core fusion and various fitness classes.
My goal during group training, personal training, and group travel, is to challenge and motivate, while inspiring light-heartedness and fun. I believe each day should include at lease three deep belly laughs for it to feel like a success!
My life is also filled with the joy of giving back to the community where I live. I bring this love of community service with me in my travels by seeking opportunities to serve the areas I visit.
I believe it is possible for each of us to find a balance between good health, happiness and life’s responsibilities. Too many of us go day-to-day in perpetual survival mode not realizing the serious toll this kind of stress takes on our bodies and minds.
My intent with retreat travel is to help you re-gain perspective about what’s important and meaningful to you, by encouraging you to getaway from the everyday, both physically and mentally. It’s amazing what different surroundings, new experiences and fresh air can do for your outlook.
I travel extensively in North America, South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Europe to find inspiring destinations for our retreats. All of the destinations are places of natural beauty, cultural interest and eco-sensitivity.
The mission of Retreat2Wellness is to experience a deeper understanding of the world through travel; to connect with fellow travelers through cultural and natural discovery; to connect with the communities we visit through local engagement; and to nourish mind, body and spirit through enjoyable movement, self-reflection and natural foods.
I hope you will join me soon on an active journey.
